YemekSepeti.com is one of the biggest Turkish internet success stories.  Making the elusive “online meal delivery marketplace” model succeed in the Turkish market, the company attracted a round of funding from European Founders Fund and Cem Sertoglu in 2008, and from General Atlantic in 2012. In May 2015, YemekSepeti.com was acquired by Delivery Hero for $589m in the largest Turkish internet exit to date.

GittiGidiyor.com is the leading ecommerce platform in Turkey.  Cem Sertoglu has collaborated with iLab Ventures in iLab’s acquisition of a minority stake in the company.  That investment was followed by the acquisition of a 10% stake by eBay.  In 2Q 2011, eBay acquired 93% of GittiGidiyor for $218m in the first major exit of a Turkish consumer internet company to a global strategic buyer.

CivicSolar is an online distributor and marketplace for solar energy equipment, based in San Francisco.  Cem Sertoglu joined CivicSolar’s seed round in 2009. The company was acquired in 2019 by CED Greentech.

eCift is the leading “relationship-oriented” dating site in Turkey.  The Company was established in 2009, with the aim of helping Turkish speaking users find their perfect match. The business received equity financing in 2010 from business angels.  Cem Sertoglu joined the Series B round with 3TS Capital Partners in 2011.

Idemama is the leading marketplace for creative marketing and design services in Turkey.  Boasting over 4,000 creative professionals offering their services, the company enables SMBs to cost-effectively fulfil their design needs.  Cem Sertoglu joined the seed round of financing in 2012.
