A few weeks ago, I had blogged about Nick Denton’s list on  tools used by start-ups.  Today, I came across a similar list, this time created by the team at 37Signals, the creators of Backpack and Basecamp, among other thoughtful software, as well as the Ruby on Rails  web framework.

37Signals is the model I have for how a software development company should think and act. There’s no doubt that they are a smart group of people, and their list of tools for various tasks should help guide many faced with similar tasks.
